How it works
GifCraft decodes the GIF frames, then uses your browser’s built-in H.264 encoder (WebCodecs) to write an MP4. Chrome, Edge and Safari 16.4+ support it. On browsers without an H.264 encoder, GifCraft records a WebM instead.
MP4 is what most social apps actually play: Instagram and TikTok do not accept GIF uploads at all, and X, WhatsApp and Telegram convert GIFs to video behind the scenes. Converting yourself gives you a small, sharp file that loops.
Drop the GIF.
Choose a size (1080 px for Instagram).
Make the MP4 and download it.

No. All processing happens in your browser tab. Your files never leave your device.
MP4 files have no loop flag; the player decides. Instagram, TikTok and most chat apps loop short silent videos automatically.
